Carlos Vieira Racing and Byron Campbell Motorsports Team Up to Support “Race for Autism” and The Carlos Vieira Foundation

Livingston, Ca. January 14, 2016

Carlos Vieira Racing (CVR) and Byron Campbell Motorsports have teamed up to support the “Race for Autism” campaign and to race the complete schedule of the Southwest Tour Series this year. Driver Carlos Vieira will compete fulltime in the 2016 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, with teammate Derek Thorn competing at select 2016 events.

“I feel privileged to be teamed up with a race team like Campbell Motorsports. With their long list of wins and championships, I know I will do well and bring home some strong finishes”, stated Vieira.

Vieira will not only be racing for strong finishes, but for the 2016 championship. He has been “Racing for Autism” since 2007 and has committed to doing the same in 2016 by donating his championship monies directly to the cause.

“I’ve heard great things over the years about what Carlos and his non-profit charity organization have done to help families with autism and I’m proud to play a part in helping this great cause.” stated team owner Byron Campbell.

The Carlos Vieira Foundation’s “Race for Autism” campaign has been donating money to autism organizations since 2007. The foundation’s “Direct Help Grant” program has made an enormous impact for these families. Currently the Carlos Vieira Foundation services 21 counties, from Bakersfield to Sacramento. Families living in these counties can apply for a grant which directly helps their loved ones with autism.

While both teams will be raising money and awareness for autism, they will continue to represent their current sponsors. CVR’s main sponsor continues to be 51FIFTY Energy Drink, while Byron Campbell Motorsports will continue to showcase their current sponsors.
