2011 SRL LEGENDS TOUR
News & Information:
1. INCREASED PRIZE MONEY – At each event that is part of the SRL Legends Tour, the winner’s prize money will be increased by $250, and positions 2nd to 10th will received an additional $100 over the standard payout from the host track or series.
2. CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE – At nine of the ten SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series events of 2011, the “SRL Legends Tour” will compete on the same night as the SRL Southwest Tour cars. Host tracks of the 2011 “SRL Legends Tour” include; the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, All-American Speedway, Stockton 99 Speedway and Madera Speedway. Each race will be officiated by the host track or local series, such as the Legends of the Pacific.
3. NO LICENSE FEE – There will be no additional license fee to be part of the SRL Legends Tour and be eligible for the additional prize money and point fund. Drivers will only be required to fill out an information form and display decals associated with the SRL. (See form below)
4. SRL LEGENDS TOUR MERCHANDISE – The first fifty SRL Legends Tour drivers to register and compete will receive SRL Legends Tour t-shirts and other items.
5. CHAMPIONSHIP POINT FUND – A $4000 championship point fund will be distributed to the top five drivers of 2011, with $1,500 going to the SRL Legends Tour Champion, presented at the annual SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series Awards Banquet.
6. CHILDREN’S HUNGER FUND – The SRL Legends Tour teams will pull together with its host communities to raise awareness and support of the Children’s Hunger Fund, www.childrenshungerfund.org.
