(February 16, 2010) – Superior Crankshaft will enter grassroots motorsports in 2010 with CEO Cheryl Archer naming long-time west coast racing supporter Marty Melo as Grassroots Motorsports Marketing Manager.Superior Crankshaft will sponsor teams and drivers in multiple series, beginning with sponsorship of a new entry in the SRL SPEARS Southwest Tour.“I feel like this is a strong market for our company,” Archer said. “There are a large number of racers in grassroots oval track and drag racing that can benefit from our technology and products.”Archer toured the pits at the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown to gain a perspective of the grassroots racing market and came away impressed with the level of variety in engines used by the Super Late Model teams.Melo will manage a wide-variety of sponsorship programs, with a product sponsorship application going live on the Superior Crankshaft website later this week.
