IRVINE, Calif. (March 16, 2010) – Redding, Calif. standout Kyle Cattanach, has been named driver of the #88 Superior Crankshaft Chevrolet for the 2010 SRL SPEARS Southwest Tour Series.
Cattanach, the former North State Challenge Series runner-up and rookie of the year and ASA Speed Truck Series runner-up, will embark on his SRL Series debut in a car fielded by veteran crew chief Mike Naake of Motorway Motorsports.
“I am extremely excited to have Kyle driving for us in 2010,” Superior Crankshaft Motorsports Marketing Manager Marty Melo said. “Kyle’s resume in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and Late Models made him the prime candidate for this position and we feel he will be a great spokesman for our products.”
Cattanach will relocate back to his native Redding after spending several seasons in North Carolina as a crew chief, fabricator, and part-time entrant in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. His first asphalt start for Superior Crankshaft netted a fifth place finish at Shasta Raceway Park in October.
