EVENT: The Second annual CITCO Fall Shootout, DC’s RV Center 100 presented by Race for Autism is the second to last race for the 2015 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series championship season, which will also feature the NASCAR late Models, SRL S2 Series, the SPEC Mods, INEX/SRL Legends and the 911 Series. SPEARS Southwest Tour Series qualifying at 5:00pm, On-track Autograph Session at 5:30pm, Opening Ceremonies will start at 6pm, Racing Begins at 6:15pm.

 

CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERS: Goleta’s Greg Voigt will carry a six-point lead into Saturday’s event, over Manteca’s Jacob Gomes. Livingston, California’s Carlos Vieira is just eleven points out of the championship lead.

 

ROOKIES: Top Rookie-of-the-Year contender after seven races is Parker Stephens of Olympia, Washington with 1022 points. Ryan Cansdale of Laguna Beach is the next best rookie in the standings with 989.

 

FOUR DEBUTS: Former Kern County Raceway Park and Mesa Marin Raceway track champion, Brian Richardson will be making his SPEARS Southwest Tour Series debut this weekend. Dan Holtz, another former Mesa Marin champion will be making his 2015 series debut, as well as Justin Westmoreland and Mathew Meech.

 

TRACK RECORD: Current one-lap track record for the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series at Kern County Raceway Park is 17.52 seconds, set by Derek Thorn on April 5, 2014.

 

BONUS: Reeve’s Complete Automotive Service will award a $400 bonus to any driver that sets Fast Time and wins the DC’s RV Center 100 presented by Race for Autism.

 

CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERS: SPEARS Southwest Tour Series championship top 10 standings after 7 of 9 events: Voigt 1042 points, Gomes 1034, Vieira 1031, Stephens 1022, Cansdale 989, Blaine Rocha 949, Keith Spangler 938.

 

RACE PROCEDURE: The race distance is 100 laps, the first 3 laps of each caution (yellow flag) period count, after 3 laps under yellow, the laps do not count. All restarts are double file up until the final 10 laps of the race. No yellow flag laps are counted within the final 10 laps of the race. When the yellow flag is displayed, the race is neutralized; the drivers hold their position but do not race back to the start finish line, unless it is the final lap of the race.
