SPEARS Southwest Tour Series “Winner’s Bonus” Announced for 2016
Bakersfield, CA – In 2016, a minimum of $5,000 will be awarded to the winner of each SPEARS Southwest Tour Series event.
“There’s a huge sense of pride within our series,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins. “Our teams take pride in bringing well prepared, competitive cars to each race, our officials pride themselves in managing the races in a professional manner, and our sponsors take pride in having their names associated with the series.”
Sponsors associated with the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series have committed an extra $2,000 at each race in 2016, to bring the winner’s share of the prize money to at least $5,000. This new “Winner’s Bonus” program is a great addition to the SPEARS Frequent Flyer Program, which guarantees at least $1,000 in start money to teams on the Frequent Flyer program.
“When everyone involved shows a high level of commitment, it propels the series forward and this new program is another example of good people doing their part to make this series great.” Collins added.
The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series will conclude it’s 2015 championship season at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on November 21st.
The first event of 2016 will be the $30,000 to win, 2nd Annual Winter Showdown on February 28th, at Kern County Raceway Park, followed by the ten race 2016 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series season.
