Bakersfield, CA – One of the biggest Super Late Model races in the United States will soon be making its way into living rooms all over the world. Today SRL Southwest Tour officials announced the second annual Winter Showdown on February 28 from the beautiful Kern County Raceway in Bakersfield, California will be broadcast live on Speed51.com.

Some of the top Super Late Model teams in America will meet in Bakersfield, California for the $30,000 to win event. Stars such as Bubba Pollard, Derek Thorn and Cole Anderson are ready to battle for a winner’s purse on Speed51 TV’s pay-per-view broadcast.

“Speed51.com has done so much to help make the Winter Showdown a marquee event,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins.  “Our objective with the Winter Showdown is to draw the top short track teams and build a national event.   With Speed51 TV doing a live pay-per-view broadcast, the Winter Showdown continues to expand its national reach and we expect a big viewing audience to tune in.  It’s good for the teams; it’s good for the event and it’s good for our industry as a whole.”

Last year it was Pollard taking the victory in the inaugural Winter Showdown. In doing so, Pollard pocketed a cool $25,000. This year Pollard will look to take home even more money.

Fans can purchase Sunday’s Speed51 TV pay-per-view broadcast for the price of $24.99 to watch the SRL Winter Showdown as well as a full pre-race and post-race show. Saturday’s racing action can be seen for $19.99 and will include coverage of Super Late Model time-trials, qualifying races and the Lucas Oil Modified Series feature.

Race fans can also purchase a two-day broadcast ticket for a total of $34.99, which is a savings of $10, to watch all of the racing action from the high-banks of Kern County Raceway.
