Derek Thorn held off Eric Schmidt, Jeremy Doss and Ricky Schlick in a wild Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series race at The New Stockton 99 Speedway. Thorn fought off numerous late lap attempts by Schmidt and Schlick to score his 35th career SRL win. Earlier in the day he set Fast Time for the 50th time in his career. Carlos E. Vieirarounded out the top five.
