TOP 11 COUNTDOWN – JEFF BISCHOFBERGER

TOP 11 COUNTDOWN – JEFF BISCHOFBERGER

By Kevin Peters

Moving into the Top 5, for our Spears Spears Srl Southwest Tour <https://www.facebook.com/spearssrl.tour>  Series Point Standings countdown, we find Jeff Bischofbereger holding down slot number five. The Tracy California native is only 54 points out of the championship lead and 13 points out of second.
Jeff began the season at Madera Speedway by qualifying 2nd and finishing 7th. At Kern County Raceway he racked up another Top 10 finish giving him momentum heading to Jeff’s home track in Stockton. It was there that Jeff got his first Series victory, in only his 14th Tour start, taking the lead with only 4 laps remaining. That win catapulted him into the championship lead and proved that he and the Jeremy Doss Motorsports <https://www.facebook.com/JeremyDossMotorsports>  Team would be a championship contender throughout the season.
The next event, at Irwindale Speedway, saw Jeff very hopeful with a car that was set-up for long runs. Everything was going according to plan when on lap 39 a spinning car forced Jeff to check-up and resulted in another car getting into the back of him. The ensuing contact ripped the track bar mount off of the frame and ended his night in disappointment. With the next event on August 1st, at Redwood Acres Raceway <https://www.facebook.com/redwoodacresraceway>  , look for Jeff and the JD Motorsports Team to be a strong contender. When asked about his season to date and the upcoming schedule Jeff had the following remarks to make.
“2015 has been great with JD Motorsports. Having a car that always rolls out of the trailer fast is a great feeling. I hope to give the team the finishes they deserve the last half of the season. A big thanks to Mike and Jeremy Doss. Not only are they the best at what they do but they are by far the best to work with on and off the track. Without the Doss family it’s very possible I would have had to throw in the towel on this deal, they have giving me the opportunity that I believe no other team could have. Their dedication to me has been unbelievable and appreciated.
I would like to thank my brother Allen for dedicating so much of his time to our racing. Allen has been there with me from the start (22 races ago) and there is nothing he wouldn’t do to make us go faster. His long hours, and unwillingness to give up has kept this dream alive. There is nothing better than spending the weekend at the race track with your big brother.
My wife is the most supportive wife out there and has stuck by my side even while having a new baby boy this year (Jace). Big thanks to my mom & dad for all the support and encouragement.
One of the best feelings is knowing when we show up at each and every race we have a big support group made up of Aunts & Uncles, friends and family. When things go well there they are there to celebrate with us and when things go bad they are there to encourage us to move onto the next race.
Rent to Own out of Visalia has continued to sponsor us through the ups and downs and moving into the back half of the season we have a new sponsor coming on board. A new clothing company called SALTWATER LUXE clothing company out of Southern California has come on as a main sponsor for the next 5 races. The company is a new women’s surf line launching the month of September.
Coming out of the gate with fast time in practice the first race of the year at Madera and then getting our first win at Stockton proves the car and team has speed, it’s now up to me as the driver to put the finishes together that the team deserves. We look forward to the next 5 races and with a little luck and lot of hard work look to be fighting for the championship.
Big thanks to the Spears family as they continue to support this series which allows us drivers to do what we love.”, Jeff concluded.
Look for Jeff at one of the Spears Southwest Tour Series Events this season and come down to meet the driver and team of the number 66 car.
