UPDATES and HELPFUL REMINDERS: April 28, 2015

TIMES:

Friday – Pit Gates 1pm, Pit Sweep at 2:30pm, Four (30) minute practice sessions, starting at 3:30pm.

 

Saturday – Pit Gates 12:30pm, Driver’s Meeting 2pm, One (1) hour practice session starting at 2:30pm. Qualifying Tech Opens at 4:30pm. Qualifying 5:30pm.

 

FEES:

$225 per car on Friday (no pit pass fee)

 

$45 pit passes on Saturday

 

Note: Saturday pit passes may be purchased on Friday at Registration.

 

RACE DISTANCE: 151 laps

 

SOUND LIMITS: Stockton strictly enforces the sound limits – 95db. Please do your work in the shop. Note: Exhaust pipe and flange must be flush with body panel.

 

LICENSE: If you still need to purchase your 2015 License, you can do so at the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Trailer.

 

CHAPEL SERVICE: 4pm on Saturday

 

STOCKTON PIT POLICIES:

  • Minors release form mandatory for anyone under the age of 18 in the pit area.
  • The maximum speed limit is 5 MPH at all times in the pit area.
  • No open toe shoes or sandals.
  • No riding on skateboards, roller skates/blades, golf carts, motorized scooters, bicycles or quads.
  • No minimum age in the pit area – minors must stay with parent.

 

PARKING: The Top 12 cars from the 2015 championship standings will park in the first 12 parking spots. This does not mean that the Top 12 enters the pits first – the order to enter the pits is first in line, first to enter.

 

SAFETY TECH: All new cars will require a safety check before going on track.

 

ENGINE TECH:

PLEASE NOTIFY the series if your car requires engine tech.

 

TRANSPONDERS: Required on the all cars before taking the track on both Friday and Saturday.

 

QUALIFYING TIRES: Your Qualifying/Race Tires will be released to you following the final Saturday SPEARS Southwest Tour Series practice session at 3:30pm.

 

PRE-QUALIFYING TECH: The Series policy is that at the time Pre-Qualifying Tech officially opens (which is 4:30pm on Saturday) all cars are required to be on the ground and ready to roll to tech. Please wait until you are directed to proceed in order to Pre-Qualifying Tech Line. You will have two opportunities to pass tech, before you are under penalty of slowest of two laps in qualifying.

 

IMPOUND: All cars will be impounded after qualifying on the diagonal in the infield, you may check pressures, stagger (no jacks) and remove tape – please remove radios, water bottles, etc. and be sure your car is in the proper position before leaving the impound area. Cars remain in impound until main event.

 

FUEL: “SUNOCO 110 Standard” is the spec fuel for the series; it is each team’s responsibility to have their own supply.

SCANNING REQUIRED: It is mandatory that each spotter has a radio (or scanner) that will scan the SRL Race Control frequency at 460.0125
