SCHMIDT WINS SPEARS 100 presented by COLEMAN POWERSPORTS

Congratulations to 2006 Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series Champion Eric Schmidt, and team owner Randy Hedrick for their victory in the “Spears Manufacturing 100 presented by Coleman Powersports” at the Irwindale Event Center. The win was Schmidt’s fifth career SRL victory, but his first since that 2006. The Roseville, CA driver took home $5,000, thanks to the Winner’s Bonus from Performance Friction Brakes. Schmidt was followed by Ricky Schlick, Jeremy Doss, Kyle Neveau and Jeff Bischofberger. The fourth place finish by Neveau made him the fourth different driver to score the Rookie of the Race Award, in the first four events.
