UPDATES and REMINDERS HEADING TO STOCKTON

UPDATES and REMINDERS HEADING TO STOCKTON

  1. LEAD REMINDER – As a reminder, all lead must be painted white with the car number properly marked on each piece of lead – if lead is discovered to not be properly painted and marked, it will result in a $1,500 fine on the first offense (Officials will check lead to be properly painted and marked in pre/or post-race tech. Fines will be issued, no warnings.).  This is an extreme safety issue that if not handled properly can result in severe injury to others.  Please do the work – we are all going to take this very seriously.  At Irwindale, the #93 car of Austin Thom lost a stick of lead during practice, this resulting in a $25 per pound fine per the 2021 rulebook.

  1. ON TRACK CONDUCT – Due to actions after an incident at Kern County Raceway on March 20th, the #27 driver John Moore has been fined $1,000 for his actions of approaching and striking another competitor’s car during a red flag. We understand the emotions of the sport but have to draw the line.

  1. SOUND – We appreciate those teams that worked to get their sound levels down during the Irwindale Speedway event, and we will continue to monitor sound at each race, so we avoid our host racetracks suffering the consequences from their local authorities. Again, it is our responsibility to do the work.

  1. PATCHES – To be eligible for the SPEARS Frequent Flyer Program funds, the driver is required to have the appropriate series patches in the proper locations on his or her driver’s suit.

  1. PRO LATE MODEL TESTING AT STOCKTON – If your Pro Late Model team is testing at Stockton on Thursday of race week, contact Ricky Brooks or reply to this email.

  1. MORE SOUND – On May 22nd we will visit All-American Speedway which has the strictest sound levels of all of our host racetracks. The below information is mandated by All-American Speedway for all competitors:

Roseville – exhaust system and noise requirements

Mufflers, single or dual, are mandatory and shall be sufficient enough to meet all sound requirements of All American Speedway at all times. No side exit exhaust. All exhaust shall exit under the car. All mufflers must have a turn down that aims the exhaust exit at the ground. Due to our strict sound restrictions and the effect that weather condition variables have on sound generation, it is highly recommended that additional sound adjustability be built into your exhaust system in the event your vehicle does not meet the sound levels required.

All vehicles competing, practicing or testing at All American Speedway are required to comply with the mandated maximum sound output restriction. All individual vehicles are required meet a maximum decibel output of 90 DBA. No exceptions. Any vehicles found to be exceeding the allowable levels will be black flagged from the race track and required to make necessary repairs before being allowed back on the race track.
