Former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Erik Jones made his one and only “Winter Showdown” appearance in 2017, coming home fourth in the prestigious event for the SRL Southwest Tour. Jones is currently in his ninth full season of NASCAR Cup Series competition driving the famous #43 for the Legacy Motor Club, formerly Richard Petty Motorsports. Jones is a two-time winner of the “Southern 500” at Darlington Raceway. His first “Cup” Series victory was at Daytona International Speedway in 2018, winning the “Coke Zero Sugar 400”.
Jones has continued to support Asphalt Super Late Model racing scoring multiple wins in the UARA National Late Model Series. He is a three-time winner of the “Winchester 400”, and a two-time winner of the “Snowball Derby“. He is a “Florida Governor’s Cup” winner at New Smyrna Speedway (FL), Redbud 400″ winner at Anderson Speedway (IN), as well as a “Money in the Bank 150” winner at Berlin Raceway. Jones is expected to continue his “Cup” Series endeavors in 2026, as well as his support of short track racing.
