The SRL Southwest Tour “Winter Showdown” was known for attracting some of the biggest racing stars in the country. In 2017, Kyle Busch made his first visit to the prestigious event, bringing home a third-place finish behind Derek Thorn and Donnie Wilson. The following season, Busch would bring home the $30,000 prize, holding off Buddy Shepherd and Daniel Hemric. The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and 63-time winner also made two starts in the NASCAR Southwest Tour, earning top 10 finishes at Sonoma Raceway (CA) and Phoenix Raceway (AZ).
