Bischofberger Hunts Second Career SRL Victory at Irwindale Speedway

For Immediate Release: SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series

Bakersfield, CA – Jeff Bischofberger will make his second start of the 2021 Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series season on April 10th in the “Spears Manufacturing 100” at Irwindale Speedway. The former Tracy, CA resident now calls Irwindale his hometrack, and he will be back behind the wheel of his new Senneker Performance Race Cars Super Late Model out of the JD Motorsports shop.

Bischofberger finished a strong second to Preston Peltier, in the SRL season opener at Irwindale in 2019, and should be a threat again, as he continues his relationship with Jeremy Doss and Mike Doss with JD Motorsports. It is a partnership that has shown benefits in the past, it and accounted for his lone series victory in 2015, at Stockton 99 Speedway. During the season opening 2021 “Sunrise Ford All-Star Showdown”, Bischofberger finished 12th, in the $30,000-to-win event, after sitting in the new car for the first time.

This will be series start #34 for the Tracy, CA driver. He has only one full-time effort in the series, however. That season was 2018, when he finished sixth in the championship standings. Overall Bischofberger has the win, to go along with six top-five and 16 top-10 efforts. Most of those starts were with his current team, JD Motorsports. Overall, at Irwindale, Jeff has seven SRL starts, earning two top-five and three top-10 finishes. He will look to add to those totals next weekend, with the help of his team, sponsors, family and supporters.

“I would like to thank Mike & Jeremy Doss, as well as Duane Sharp for all the hard work and long hours putting together the new car”, Bischofberger began. “It will be great having my brother Allen Bischofberger back on the radio spotting for me, and I am very appreciative to my wife Christa, for understanding my desire to be back behind the wheel.”

Bischofberger continued, “Through the recent pandemic, it has brought to light the important things in life, which are enjoying every day with those that you respect and want to pass the time with…… I look forward to racing at Irwindale with my parents, friends, brother, family, JD Motorsports crew and all the SRL teams and staff. I would like to thank Brian Olsen with the SRL, as he has always put the extra effort in to make all the teams welcome. Finally, I would also like to thank Brannon Earnest Shocks and Peters Racing Engines for giving me a great power plant.”
