Bob Strandwold Racing Returns to the SRL

Modesto, CA – Two-time SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series championship team, Bob Strandwold Racing will be making their 2014 debut at Kern Raceway Park on November 1, with series rookie JR Courage driving the PODS/Chicken Barn Restaurant #3 BSR Chevrolet.
BSR is very pleased to have the 2014 Pacific Challenge Series rookie of the year champion, JR Courage driving the number 3 PODS/Chicken Barn Restaurants Chevrolet lead by former SRL championship crew chief Jeff Strandwold for the two remaining SRL events in 2014.
“After taking the season off to concentrate on my two sons rookie season racing careers in the mini cup series, my brother and I look forward to getting back with our competitors in the SRL.” stated Bob Strandwold. “Our main objective is to give JR the needed seat time and to expose PODS and Chicken Barn Restaurants to these valuable markets Bakersfield and Las Vegas and build a strong marketing program with them.”
Courage comes from a successful racing family (father Jim and brother Jim) and he shows that he has the family racing “blood” in him with being the 2012 INEX Legend road course California state champion and the 2014 Pacific Challenge Series rookie of the year champion.
“JR is such a pleasure to be around and is a great representative of BSR” stated Bob Strandwold. “I worked a few races with JR at some of the events that he has ran this year along with my brother Jeff and it was a joy to work with him”.
BSR plans to run Courage in the #3 PODS/Chicken Barns Restaurant for the full 2015 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series season. BSR also plans to run the Performance Electrical #1 Chevrolet and the Freight Train Peter’s #2 Chevrolet in limited 2015 events.
