BUSY MAN THIS SEASON

BUSY MAN THIS SEASON

John Moore will be a busy man this season, as he and his son, Cole Moore will both go for two Super Late Model Touring Championships. After two events in each series, the elder Moore leads the Pacific Challenge Series standings, while he sits in a three-way tied for fifth in the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series rundown. For Moore, this will be his first attempt at a championship in the SRL, after achieving that goal in the PCS in 2015. He also finished second in 2017, after entering the final event tied for the championship lead.

In 2018, Moore has continued his consistency in his first few SRL starts, finishing eighth and ninth. Moreover, John has the distinction of being the only driver in SRL history to have zero DNF’s with 10 or more career starts. On May 5th, Moore will look to step up his effort at the Bullring @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the $10,000 to win Retro Custom Metals 150. In his two previous Bullring SRL starts, he has a best finish of sixth, which was his career best in eleven series starts. Moore will bring his JM ENVIRONMENTAL, INC., THRYV Chevy to Las Vegas with his eyes firmly fixed upon his first series win, and top five finish.

“I really love racing at The Bullring”, Moore told the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series. “It provides fast and fun tight racing with a bit of big track mentality. I’m really looking forward to next weekend.”

The SPEARS Southwest Tour will be joined by the Lucas Oil Modified Series, Jr. Late Models, Legends, Super Stocks and Bandoleros. Spectator Gates will open at 5:00pm with qualifying immediately following. Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for 6:45pm with Dashes, B-Mains and Feature Events to follow.
