Chris Davidson Makes Return to $25,000-to-Win All-Star Showdown

 
Bakersfield, CA – Friendswood, TX competitor Chris Davidson has entered the “All-Star Showdown” at Irwindale Speedway on February 5th. The season opener for the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series will pay $25,000 to the winner of the 200-lap event. This will be Davidson’s third appearance at the event after finishing 11th in 2020 and 10th in 2021. Davidson is a two-time Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series champion at 5 Flags Speedway, which includes the last two in-a-row. The veteran racer is also a two-time USRA Champion with 18 triumphs in 82 career starts. In the Southern Super Series, he was the 2016 championship runner-up.
Out west, Davidson has competed in four “Winter Showdowns” at Kern County Raceway Park, with a best finish of seventh. He has four starts in the “Summer Showdown” at Evergreen Speedway with two top-three finishes to his credit, finishing in the runner-up position in 2018.

The “All-Star Showdown 200” will take place on February 5th at Irwindale Speedway. It will kick off the 22nd season for the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour and the second for the SPEARS Pro Late Models presented by Sigma Performance Services. The Spears Modified Series will take part in their second event of the season, after opening at Havasu 95 Speedway. The Super Late Models will race for $25,000-to-win, with the Pro Late Models competing for $10,000-to-win and the Modifieds will shoot for $5,000. 44 Super Late Models appeared in 2021 with 38 Pro Late Models and 22 Modifieds answering the call.
