Chris Eggleston Wins the Chilly Willy – Now on Way to Showdown

Congratulations to 2018 Winter Showdown entrant Chris Eggleston on his victory in the 2018 Chilly Willy 150 last night at Tucson Speedway. Eggleston held off fellow Showdown entrant Preston Peltier over the final eight lap green flag shootout, to take the $10,000 victory.

Eggleston will now turn his attention to next weekend’s $30,000 to win event at Kern County Raceway.

“This win means a lot to my small family team, and all the hard work myself, George Green, and my dad put into this car”, Eggleston told the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series. “The small bummer is that we just hung our first body, before this race, and it took us a little time, and it’s a little beat up for Kern. However, we will beat it out, and try to be competitive next weekend! We are really looking forward to running with the SRL, and all the big names that will be there.”

After two big Super Late Model victories in a row, at Tucson Speedway, the humble Eggleston is sure to be more than just competitive, but a threat for the win. Come out to Kern County Raceway on February 1-3, and see if Chris can make it three big victories in succession in his Globe Fire Sprinkler Corporation, BlazeMaster Fire Protection hotrod.
