Dylan Lupton Hopes Home Cooking Leads to AAS Win

Bakersfield, CA – Dylan Lupton will make the short trip from Elk Grove, CA to Roseville, to compete in the “JM Environmental Wild West Shootout Rock the house 127” on March 23rd. It will be the fourth time that the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series has opened their season at ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA. The event will pay $10,000-to-win, thanks to John Moore and JM ENVIRONMENTAL, INC. Surprisingly, this will only be Lupton’s second SRL start at the 1/3-mile fairgrounds facility, after finishing a disappointing 20th in 2019.
Lupton does have three starts at All American Speedway in the ARCA Menards Pro Series West, but only a best finish of ninth to show for it. The 2014 “West” Series championship runner-up will be looking to improve upon those numbers when he makes his 18th start in the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series. Lupton’s SRL record includes five top-five finishes, with a best of second at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway (CA) in 2020. Seven top-10’s also highlight his Super Late Model record with the series, to go along with the impressive three poles. He has led three races for a total of 55 laps.
Lupton is a two-time winner in the “West” series, also scoring 14 top-five and 27 top-10’s in 34 starts. He has 41 starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series and 15 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he counts a best finish of fifth at Kentucky Speedway (KY). The Elk Grove, CA driver earned a strong four top-10’s in that series, grabbing those additional finishes at Chicagoland Speedway (IL), Las Vegas Motor Speedway (NV), and Texas Motor Speedway (TX). Lupton has also excelled at the road courses, grabbing a top-10 in the XFINITY Series at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course (OH), and a fourth-place finish at Watkins Glen International (NY) in the ARCA Menards Pro Series East. At Sonoma Raceway (CA) he has second and third place finishes in the ARCA Menards Pro Series West, as well as at the Utah Motorsports Campus (UT).
On March 23rd, the four-time NASCAR Cup Series starter will be looking to grab his first SRL victory, which would put $10,000 in his bank account and add to his impressive resume.
Celebrating its twenty fourth season in 2024, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is a regional stock car series competing on paved ovals in the southwestern portion of the U.S. “The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series…Where the Champions Race”.
