ESHLEMAN TO BEGIN ROOKIE SEASON

Kayla Eshleman will begin her rookie season, in the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series, at Madera Speedway on Saturday, March 24th. The youngest driver on the “Tour” will take on a full field of SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Super Late Models, in the “2018 Season Opener presented by 51 FIFTY Energy Drink” It will be Eshleman’s second start in the SRL after finishing 13th at her home track, the Irwindale Event Center in 2017.

Kayla made two trips to Madera Speedway in 2017, participating with the Late Models and Junior Late Models. She finished her first season in the Late Models, with a third place championship effort at Kern County Raceway, and an 11th place result at Irwindale Speedway. The 15 year old driver from Fontana, CA showed great improvement behind the wheel, during the season, finishing second to Ryan Vargas at Irwindale’s season finale. She finished her Super Late Model season with an eighth place finish, in the “Senator’s Cup Fall Classic 150”, at the Bullring @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Eshleman is ready to get her 2018 SRL season underway and can’t wait to get back to the track.

“I’m definitely super excited to be running at Madera for the SRL opener”, Eshleman told the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series. “I’ve raced there before and had a lot of fun. I’m just so excited to get back on track and show what Eshleman racingis all about, and just getting back to the track for 2018.”

Eshleman continued, “I’d like to give a huge thanks to my dad (Jeff Eshleman), my uncle and my grandpa. They are the whole reason I am here and doing this racing thing. Without them, I would only be halfway as far, as I have come to this point.”

Eshleman will bring her Chevrolet SS, sponsored by Eshleman Racing, SoCal Wraps and Eibach Springs, to Madera looking for a great start to the season. The $5,000 to win opener, thanks to the winners bonus from Hamner Racing Engines, will be the first of two SRL appearances, at the one-third mile paved oval. If Kayla could finish the opener in the top ten, she will definitely be excited for the return trip on September 29th.
