Favorite Track on “The Tour”

Jeff Bischofberger not only loves racing at the The New Stockton 99 Speedway, but he has also found success at the historic quarter-mile oval. When the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series visits Stockton, for the “Stockton 99 – 125 presented by 51 FIFTY Energy Drink”, Bischofberger will be one, of only two drivers, to have won at “99” in both the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour, and Pacific Challenge Series. Ironically he joins his JD Motorsports teammate Jeremy Doss in that category.

“I love going to Stockton, as I grew up in Tracy, and went to high school in Stockton at St Mary’s”, Bischofberger told the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series. “I really enjoy short track racing, the rubbing and door banging is great times, and tends to put more on the drivers abilities than other tracks.”

Bischofberger enters the August 18th event third, in the championship standings. Jeff has three top-five and four top-ten finishes in the first five events of the season. With his success at the track, it will be an opportunity to close the gap on point leader Jeremy Doss, and 2006 SRL Champion Eric Schmidt, as well as put a little distance on Ricky Schlick and Carlos E. Vieira, who are only four points back.

“We are going to Stockton with one mindset ….do whatever I have to do to win! My brother ( Allen Bischofberger) has been doing a great job this year as the crew chief on my car, and we are due for a celebration together in Victory Lane. Eric Gannon, my spotter, has also been a huge addition this year, and I appreciate his dedication. I appreciate all the help from JD Motorsports and Earnest Performance, and thankful to have all the family and friends in the stands. I can’t forget my wife and kids, as they are 100% behind me. I appreciate all the time they allow me to be away at the track, to live out a young boys dream”, Bischofberger concluded.

This will be Bischofberger’s 26th career SRL start, and sixth at the New Stockton 99 Speedway. His last start in Stockton, however, was with the Pacific Challenge Series in 2017. It was his only start in the PCS Series last year, and he came home with a victory. If he can duplicate that victory in his JD Motorsports, Senneker Performance, S&S Sports Enterprise, Earnest Performance and Performance Friction Brakes Chevy, the Long Beach, CA driver will only solidify Stockton as his favorite track on “The Tour”.
