GOMES TO MAKE 99TH CAREER START
Jacob Gomes is set to make SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series start number 99 on November 23rd, when the series visits the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the $10,000-to-win “Retro Custom Metals 150 presented by Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse San Dimas”. The 2015 series champion is the all-time leader in that category.
The series “Ironman”, counts eight career victories in the SRL, one of which came at the 3/8th mile Vegas facility. In 21 career starts in Vegas, he also possesses four top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. Gomes currently sits sixth in the championship standings, after a clutch issue derailed a probable top-five run, after 77 laps at Kern County Raceway.
Gomes will look to bounce back, to pick up “Bullring” win number two, in front of the cameras of MAVTV. The event will be broadcast at a time to be named later on the nationwide network.
