Hansen Set to Return for “Bulwark FR’ October Classic 150”

Jace Hansen is coming off his fourth Blizzard Series top-10 finish in a row last weekend at 5 Flags Speedway (FL), and will now head to Kern County Raceway Park for the 33rd Annual “Bulwark FR’ October Classic 150” on October 23rd. Hansen will be making his second start in the prestigious event, after finishing in the runner-up position in 2020.

The Greeley, CO driver will be looking to debut an new Super Late Model at Kern for the JEXCO Racing team and owners Jim and Daun Egli. Hansen will be making only his third SRL start of the season, after two in 2020 and a Rookie-of-the-Year effort in 2019. He finished 11th overall that season and third in the “Rookie” standings, behind Tyler Fabozzi and Jesse Love Racing, after missing one event.

“We are very excited to run out West again”, Hansen stated. “Hamke just finished up our new car, so we thought it would be good to get some laps on it before we head to the Snowball Derby! We had a great run last year at the October Classic, so we are hoping with a little luck, we will be able to finish one spot better this year. I’m really looking forward to running against the tough competition out there, as there are several high caliber teams in the series.”

Hansen will join a strong field of Super Late Models in the final championship race of the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series schedule. The winner could take home $10,500 in the two segmented race, thanks to the Motor City Throwdown Bonus of $3,500. All driver will be eligible for the bonus, that was offered to beat Derek Thorn. Three Heat Races will proceed the “BulWark ‘FR October Classic 150” The Super Late Models will be joined by the Spears Manufacturing Pro Late Models presented by Sigma Performance Services and the Spears Modified Series.
