2022 FINALE AT IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY

Bakersfield, CA – For more than 14 race seasons MAVTV has provided national television coverage of the SPEARS (SRL) Southwest Tour Series, but on November 12^th, 2022, a historic occasion will take place, as MAVTV will televise the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series 2022 Championship Finale LIVE from Irwindale Speedway.

“We’ve enjoyed a long-standing relationship with MAVTV, as they have broadcasted our races nationally since 2010, but this is huge step for our series with MAVTV providing a live broadcast of our final event of the year,” stated the SRL’s Brian Olsen.  “Irwindale is the perfect venue for a live broadcast, as the racing is always beyond exciting with three, four and sometimes five-wide, the race will be worth watching that’s for sure.”

The live broadcast will begin at 6pm PST on Saturday, November 12^th, with the 100 lap SPEARS Southwest Tour Series championship finale.  Two former series champions Jacob Gomes and Jeremy Doss are in a dog fight for the 2022 title, and the Irwindale finale will be the deciding factor on who is crowned the 2022 Champion.  The November 12^th event will close the 2022 SRL season, but it will also be a warm-up for teams as they prepare for the January 21^st All-Star Showdown at Irwindale featuring a 200 lap $25,000 to win event for both SRL Super Late Model Series’, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series and the SRL National.
