IDAHO REPRESENTED AT OCTOBER CLASSIC

IDAHO REPRESENTED AT OCTOBER CLASSIC

The state of Colorado is being represented by Jace Hansen at the October Classic at Kern County Raceway on October 27 & 28. Now the state of Idaho is being represented by John Dillon. The eighth event on the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series schedule will pay $7,000 to the winner, thanks to the Winner’s Bonus by FLUIDYNE High Performance and AKM Maintenance.

The “Bulwark FR 175 presented by Coleman Powersports” will be Dillon’s second SRL start of the season, after finishing 18th in May at the Retro Custom Metals 150″, at the Bullring @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Dillon had a poor qualifying lap, and had to make his way through the Last Chance Qualifying race, but advanced into the top-five in the feature event, before eventually retiring with radiator issues.

The 1990 NASCAR Northwest Tour Series Champion will also be making his second start at Kern County Raceway. In October of 2017, Dillon finished 24th, after motor issues derailed his effort. The 14-time NASCAR Northwest Tour winner will be looking to avenge that finish in his Dillon Toyota Lift Chevrolet.

Dillon has raced on a part-time basis, in travelling series’, since his championship season in the Rocky Mountain Challenge Series in 2009. That three-win effort added to his Late Model Track Championships at Meridian Speedway in 1987, and Stateline Speedway in 2010. Dillon would love to add to his winning record, with a victory at Kern County Raceway. Come out on October 28th, and see if John can achieve it.
