Defending Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series champion Jacob Gomes has had a dream season in 2023. After his second series championship in 2022, Gomes has opened the season with three consecutive victories worth $45,000. On May 20th, Gomes will look to extend it to four in-a-row in the RJ Allen Inc. 122 presented by San Dimas Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse” at Irwindale Speedway.
“I’m super excited to get back to Irwindale”, Gomes exclaimed. “It would be a dream to get four in-a-row with the SRL!”
Another win would be worth $7,500 to the Manteca, CA driver thanks to the “Winner’s Bonus from Earnest Performance. It would be SRL career victory #14 placing him third on the all-time list. In 2022, Gomes scored the last of his three season wins in this event. He won the championship by two points. He would love to add to his season career high next weekend.
