Joe Farre’ Goes from Car Owner to Racer at Kern County Raceway Park

Bakersfield, CA – Joe Farre’ has been a big supporter of the racing scene for many years, but in recent times, his Sigma Performance Services and Sigma Engineering Solutions, Inc brands have stepped up to an even greater degree. That includes sponsorship of the Spears Pro Late Model Series and the Sigma Performance Services Young Gun Award. But on June 18th, the Boss will get his chance to have some fun when the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series visits Kern County Raceway Park for the “JM Environmental Inc. Wild West Shootout Flick the Switch – Bulwark ‘FR 100” on June 18th. It will be the veteran racer and car owners 48th career start in the series, after competing in only seven events in the last 10 years.
Farre’ has earned 11 top-10 finishes over the years and had two top-10 championship finishes. His best career race result was a sixth at his hometrack, the LVMS Bullring and Dirt Track. Farre’ made his first series start in 2006 and was a full-time competitor from 2008 to 2010, finishing ninth in the championship standings in 2008. He has made the trip to Kern County Raceway Park five times, with a best finish of 16th in the 2021 “October Classic”. The Henderson, NV driver will look to improve that mark in his Sigma Performances Services Chevy, leading a three-team effort for the Sigma Performance Services Team.
The 10th Annual Bulwark ‘FR Firecracker weekend will see all three divisions of the SRL compete. The Spears Pro Late Models presented by Sigma Performance Services will compete for $5,400 and the Spears Modified Series $2,000. Thanks to John Moore, and JM Environmental Inc., the Super Late Model teams will go after a $10,000 win.
Admission Gates officially open at 5:00 pm. Qualifying for the Modifieds is scheduled for 5:20 pm followed by the Pro Late Models and Super Late Models. Opening Ceremonies commence at 7:00 pm. The Spears Modifieds will open by running the “General Tire 60 presented by PFC Brakes”.
