KANKE LOOKING TO REBOUND HEADING TO IRWINDALE

Cale Kanke will be looking to advance back into the top-ten, of the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series Championship Standings, when the series heads to the Irwindale Event Center for the “SPEARS Manufacturing 100 presented by Coleman Powersports” on June 9th. Kanke entered the last event, at the Bullring @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway ninth in the standings, after two top-15 results. But electrical problems, on lap 41, knocked him out of the event, and out of the top-ten with a 24th place finish. On Saturday, June 9th, the two-time SRL Legends Champion will return to the site of his first SPEARS Southwest Tour Series start in 2015. That result was a 15th place finish.

The RPM Motorsports team, owned by Dan Nikolai, and sponsored by RPM-PSI, will look to capitalize on the speed they have shown, throughout the early season thus far. In the first three events, the Frazier Park, CA hasn’t qualified outside the top dozen, with a best result of sixth. If the team can turn that speed into a top-ten finish, Kanke will make that leap back into the championship top-ten. If Kanke and team can hit the nail on the head, a $5,000 victory could be on their immediate horizon.
