Kole Raz Returns to All-Star Showdown in Families Super Late Model

Bakersfield, CA – 2021 Kulwicki Driver Development finalist Kole Raz will be looking to rebound from a disappointing 2021 season, as he heads to Irwindale Speedway for the $25,000-to-win “All-Star Showdown 200” on February 5th. Raz was fast in 2021, but lady luck was not on his side in either the Spears Srl Southwest Tour or Northwest Super Late Model Series. Raz will be looking for better luck when he brings his family owned #27 Super Late Model to one of the richest asphalt Super Late Model races in the country.

Raz began his SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series career at the “All-Star Showdown” in 2020. He only completed 19 laps, but got experience at the ½-mile oval. In 2021, he got his season off to a promising start with a sixth-place finish after qualifying third in the second annual event. The two-time NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts State of Arizona champion and Tucson Speedway. track champion ultimately finished fifth in the series standings, but his Irwindale results were solid. He had his best finish of the season at the facility in April, coming home third while finishing with another top-10 in July. Raz will be looking for a similar result in his third appearance at the “All-Star Showdown”.

With a new challenge in 2022 driving his brother Gracin Dean Raz’s Super Late Model, Kole is thankful for the opportunity he has to compete in the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series season opener.

“I would really like to thank Wells Johnson, The Master Wrench, Jefferson Racing, Patrick Hillyer, Brandon Farrington, and especially my family for the support they have given me to participate in this year’s All-Star Showdown!”

The “All-Star Showdown 200” will take place on February 5th at Irwindale Speedway. It will kick off the 22nd season for the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour and the second for the SPEARS Pro Late Models presented by Sigma Performance Services. The Spears Modified Series will take part in their second event of the season, after opening at Havasu 95 Speedway. The Super Late Models will race for $25,000-to-win, with the Pro Late Models competing for $10,000-to-win and the SPEARS Modified Series will shoot for $5,000. Qualifying for all three divisions will commence at 2:00pm. 44 Super Late Models appeared in 2021 with 38 Pro Late Models and 22 Modifieds answering the call.

Celebrating its twenty-second season in 2022, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is a regional stock car series competing on paved ovals in the southwestern portion of the U.S. “The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series…Where the Champions Race”.
