Madera Top Rookie-of-the-Race Contender

Congratulations to Austin Herzog for finishing as the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series Top Rookie-of-the-Race Contender. Herzog scored an impressive second place finish, in the “SPEARS Southwest Tour 125 presented by 51 FIFTY LTM.” at his home track, Madera Speedway. Herzog qualified ninth, just missing the eight-car redraw, but advanced into the top-three before 50 laps were complete. There he remained the rest of the event, eventually ending up second, behind four-time SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Champion Derek Thorn.

The next event for the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series will be the Bulwark Protective Apparel 100 presented by Spears Manufacturing 50th Anniversary” on June 29th. $5,000 will go to the winner, thanks to the “Winner’s Bonus” presented by KHI Management Inc.
