MAVTV to Televise SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Championship Finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Bakersfield, CA –The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is proud to announce that MAVTV and Lucas Oil Productions will be on hand to nationally televise the $5,000 to win championship finale at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on November 21st.

 

“This is the closest championship battle in the history of the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, so it should be a great race to televise,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins. “The top two drivers, Greg Voigt and Jacob Gomes, are separated by just three points, with Parker Stephens only twenty-five out of the lead.”

 

NTS Motorsports’ Greg Voigt enters the finale with 1202 points, followed closely by Gomes of Manteca with 1199; Stephens from Olympia, Washington enters with 1177. Stephens, a 2015 Rookie-of-the-Year candidate, is 22 points ahead of fourth place Carlos Vieira who has 1155 points, another rookie, Ryan Cansdale is fifth with 1127 points and Oakdale’s Blaine Rocha has 1095 points. With the current SPEARS Southwest Tour Series point system, the top six drivers have a mathematical shot at the title.

 

“We’re happy to have the opportunity to be part of the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series finale at The Bullring and showcase the event on MAVTV,” stated MAVTV Director of Programming, Jason Patison. “With this being the championship deciding race for the series, there should be plenty of drama and great racing for our viewers.”
