Mike Lovell converted one top-five and five top-10 finishes, in eight starts, into an eighth-place finish in the Spears Manufacturing Pro Late Model Series presented by Sigma Performance Services championship standings. The Upper Lake, CA driver had a best finish of fourth at ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA in May and recorded additional top-10’s at Kern County Raceway Park and three at Irwindale Speedway. Stockton 99 Speedway was Lovell’s cryptonite, as he failed to log a top-10 in three series starts.
Lovell was a member of the JD Motorsports team, which scored the series championship with driver Jeremy Doss Motorsports. Lovell and the team made the trip to Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in May, finishing 14th in a field of 37. He is also a winner in the former Pacific Challenge Series and was it’s champion in 2010.
