RICHEST EVENT IN SERIES HISTORY: With $101,500 in posted awards, the “Colorado 100” has the highest cash payout for a single event in SPEARS Southwest Tour Series history.

 

MORE HISTORY: The September 29th event at Pikes Peak International Raceway will be first time the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series has ever competed on a track larger that ½ mile.

 

LAST WINNER:  SPEARS Southwest Tour Series championship leader Jim Pettit II won the final NASCAR Southwest Series race at PPIR in June of 2005.

 

FIFTEEN FIRST TIME DRIVERS:  There are 15 drivers who will be making their SPEARS Southwest Tour Series debut at the Pikes Peak International Raceway event.

 

COLORADO NATIONAL SPEEDWAY: Among the 33 drivers entered in the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Colorado 100, fourteen drivers are regulars at Colorado National Speedway, including former CNS champions Bruce Yackey and Dan Savage.  2013 CNS main event winners entered include, Dominic Ursetta, Darren Robertson, Yackey, Chris Eggleston, Rick Smith and Darren Bucklen.

 

TOP ROOKIE: Upper Lake’s, sixteen year old, Jeremy Doss leads the 2013 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Rookie-of-the-Year points standings and is currently second in the 2013 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series overall championship standings.

 

EVENT 411: The teams will be at PPIR for three consecutive days, with race day on Sunday, September 29th.  Spectator Gates open at 10am, SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Qualifying at 11:30am, SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Colorado 100 at 2pm.  The day will also feature the National Auto Sport Association competing on the road course throughout the day.
