PETTIT DETERMINED HEADING TO STOCKTON

PETTIT DETERMINED HEADING TO STOCKTON

Prunedale, CA – Two-time SPEARS Southwest Tour Series champion Jim Pettit II and his Quentin Bammer owned team are determined to get their first win of 2013 this weekend at Stockton 99 Speedway.

“Stockton’s been a good track for us over the years, and we always seem to get good results there,” stated Pettit.  “At the opener at Madera we tried some new things with the car and found some good speed, which got us the track record.  The car was good in the race, but we needed to be a little better to get by Derek (Thorn) for the win.”

Two of Pettit’s twelve SPEARS Southwest Tour Series career wins have come at Stockton 99 Speedway.

“We’re going to be doing double-file restarts this weekend at Stockton, which is a first for the series.  I don’t have a problem with double-file restarts, but we really need everyone to be smart on the restarts.  Stockton gets really tight coming off turn 2, so we’ll have to be on our toes.”

Pettit and the Bammer #18 team will be at Stockton 99 Speedway for Friday practice and then on Saturday night for the “STRANDWOLD BROTHERS 125 presented by HURST Shifters”.  For 2013, Moeller Bros., HUR Engines, Hamke Race Cars, Golden Gate Petroleum, BizzwithBuzz.com and Swift Springs will support Pettit and the Quentin Bammer team.
