ROCHA OUT FOR FIRST HALF OF 2020 SEASON

Bakersfield, CA — CMS Race Development announced today that full-time driver Blaine Rocha, a fourth-year student at Fresno State University, has decided to focus on his final semester at Fresno State and take a break from racing during that time.   Traveling outside of the U.S. will be part of Rocha’s curricular during the next semester to further his education in Ag Business.

Rocha, the driver of the CMS/MASROC Farms Chevrolet is a two-time winner in both the SPEARS (SRL) Southwest Tour Series and in the Nut Up MAVTV Late Model Series at Madera Speedway has been in the seat full-time at CMS for the past four seasons, finishing a career high third in the SRL championship.

“Our SRL cars and Pro Late Models are in the shop and ready for 2020,” stated CMS owner Gary Collins.  “Blaine will come back and run some races in the second half of the season, we have John Dillon in the #11 Super Late Model for selected events and we have an open seat in the 29 car for the SPEARS Southwest Tour and Madera Pro Late Model or Junior Late Model events.”

With direct ties to both Port City Race Cars and McGunegill Engines, Collins and his team offer a full-service program with first class equipment.

“In addition to a full-time SRL program, with the united Pro Late Model rules packages of Madera, Kern, Irwindale, Havasu and Roseville coming together, we will have a wider range of opportunities to run our Pro Late Models in 2020.” Collins added.
