Rookie-of-the-Race Award
Congratulations to Buddy Shepherd for scoring his fourth Rookie-of-the-Race Award in the “JM ENVIRONMENTAL, INC. Wild West Shootout “Are Your Ready 147” presented by 51 FIFTY LTM” at ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA. Shepherd qualified second, led 74 laps, pitted for body damage and came back for a second-place finish, just ahead of fellow rookie Brandon Farrington. Shepherd collected an additional $1,000 from JM Environmental for leading lap #27. He also recorded the Bryans Racing Fastest Lap of the Race in Round #5 of the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series season.
Next up will be the “JM Environmental Wild West Shootout Round #2′ at Kern County Raceway. The event will pay $10,000-to-win at Shepherd’s home track.
