Ross Strmiska Scores Top Five at Stockton 99

Manteca, CA – Ross Strmiska, a third generation driver from Manteca, CA drove the Mainline Equipment/ Jack Tone Vineyards #90 to a fourth place finish in Saturday’s SPEARS Southwest Tour Series race at Stockton 99 Speedway.  With his fourth place run on Saturday, Strmiska moved up to eighth in the 2013 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series championship standings.

“It felt great having such a good car,” stated Strmiska. “We qualified good and ran as high as second, but we were a little loose and it was hard to hold on.  But to qualify fourth, and then finish fourth, you have to feel good about that.”

The Stockton 99 event was the first time the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series used the double-file restart format.

“I like the double-file restarts, and look forward to the Vegas race next month using the restart plan.  We’ve ran well at Vegas in the past, and the way the car has performed at the first two races of this year, we feel like we’re back on track and back where we can contend for wins this season.”

The next event for Ross Strmiska and the entire Strmiska Racing team will be the 5th Annual “GoLiveStream.TV – Blackjack 121” at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 11th.  Strmiska Racing is supported this season by; Jack Tone Vineyards, Mainline Equipment, Naake Suspension, David’s Racing Products, Farmers Blacksmith and Welding, Schroeder Torsion bars, Performance Signs & Graphics, Eibach Springs, Tilbury Auto Parts and Iron Mike Motorsports.
