SRL Champ Hopes Home Cooking Leads to First SRL Victory

Bakersfield, CA – The 2019 Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series champion Cole Moore will make his return to the series, after making only one start over the last two seasons. His return is slated for March 23rd, when the series visits his home track, ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA, for the “JM Environmental Inc. Wild West Shootout Rock the House 127”. $10,000 will be on the line for the winner of both the Spears SRL Southwest Tour and “Wild West Shootout” mini-series season openers. It will be the series 14th visit to the 1/3-mile asphalt oval.
Moore followed up his SRL championship season with a partial schedule in 2020 before embarking on a full slate with the ARCA Menards Pro Series West in 2021. He finished third in the championship standings both seasons, scoring a win at All American in 2022. Moore ran four of the five Wild West Super Series presented by JM Environmental events in 2023 at AAS, winning half of them. But Moore is still searching for his first Southwest Tour Series victory, and he would love to bring home the checkered at his home track.
“I’m just excited to get back and get in the mix and be in my racecar”, Moore stated. “I love racing at AAS, to me the best short track in California and the best fans. We have had a lot of success here, and we are prepared to make a legitimate run for the win.”
Moore will certainly be a contender in next weekend’s event. He will have to face multiple competitors with series victories, multiple All American Speedway track champions, and of course his father John Moore. The younger Moore has gotten the job done at his home track however, with two Pacific Challenge Series Super Late Model wins and dominating the Bill McAnally Drivers Academy events. He hopes start number 36 with the Southwest Tour will lead to his first series triumph.
Celebrating its twenty fourth season in 2024, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is a regional stock car series competing on paved ovals in the southwestern portion of the U.S. “The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series…Where the Champions Race”.
