STRMISKA READY FOR RETURN TO KERN

Manteca, CA – Ross Strmiska, the third generation driver from Manteca, CA and his Mainline Equipment/Jack Tone Vineyards team started their 2014 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series season with a second place finish at Madera Speedway.

“It was a great way to start our season,” said Strmiska about the season opener.  “It was our third straight second place finish in a row at Madera.”

This weekend, Strmiska and his Mainline Equipment/Jack Tone Vineyards team return to Kern County Raceway Park where they picked up a win at the new ½ mile oval in Bakersfield competing in the track’s Pro Late Model Series.

“The new Bakersfield track is really fast and you have to give it a lot of respect.  There’s a lot of grip, but if you go over the edge you can get in trouble in a hurry.” Said Strmiska.  “We went to Kern last year to run their weekly show as a way to get ready for the SRL race and we ended up winning, so we’re hoping for another good run this weekend”

Strmiska, currently second in the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series standings, will carry 170 championship points to Kern County Raceway Park entering Saturday night’s DC’s RV Center 100.

“I have to thank my team, my family, all our sponsors and everyone who helps us out.” Strmiska concluded.

Strmiska Racing is supported this season by; Jack Tone Vineyards, Mainline Equipment, Naake Suspension, David’s Racing Products, Farmers Blacksmith and Welding, Schroeder Torsion bars, Tilbury Napa Auto Parts, Eibach Springs, Joes Racing Products, Mobil 1, Performance Signs & Graphics and Iron Mike Motorsports.
