Tanner Reif Caps 2021 Spears Pro Late Model Season With Fourth-Place Championship Finish

Bakersfield, CA – Tanner Reif completed the 2021 Spears Manufacturing Pro Late Model Series presented by Sigma Performance Services in the number four position in the championship standings. Reif clicked off four top-five and eight top-10 finishes in his 11 series starts. Reif found his best two finishes at the historic The New Stockton 99 Speedway, earning second and third place finishes at the ¼-mile speedway. His other top-five results were a fourth at Irwindale Speedway’s 1/3-mile and at Kern County Raceway Park’s October Classic, with a fifth.
Reif not only found success in the SPEARS PLM Tour but also at his hometrack, the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Reif won the Pro Late Model Championship and Rookie-of-the Year honors to go along with four victories in-a-row. The Henderson, NV driver will certainly be one of the favorites at that facility, when the SPEARS Pro Late Model Tour visits for the season finale in 2022.
Overall Reif averaged a finish of 8.4. That average was drug down by his two DNF’s, at the Sunrise Ford All-Star Showdown 150 at Irwindale Speedway”, and Kern County Raceway Park in June, finishing 18th and 17th respectively. Outside those events, Reif could have finished third, trailing Logan Zampa by a mere 26 points.
For the driver of the #43 Boulder Boats, Undaunted Apparel Camaro, it was a season of learning at new tracks for the Sigma Performance Services “Young Gun” competitor.
“Nothing could have taught me more than I learned this year”, Reif told the SPEARS Pro Late Model Series. “The SRL Pro Late Tour is such a unique thing. I’m glad I could be a part of it and race with my fellow peers. With the amount of knowledge and skill we have learned this year, I believe we will have a great shot for the 2022 season.”
The 2018 Madera Speedway Jr. Late Model Championship runner-up will kick off the SPEARS Pro Late Model season at the All-Star Showdown at Irwindale Speedway.
