Third Generation Ware Set To Drive For PP1M

Third generation driver Cody Ware is set to make his West Coast debut driving an SRL S2 Late Model in Saturday nights opener at Madera Speedway. Cody, son of NASCAR Nationwide and Camping World team owner Rick Ware will be driving the Performance P-1 Motorsports # 77 entry. Cody’s experience to date is driving legend cars in North Carolina and has tested in late models and K & N Pro Series cars. He currently resides in Jamestown, North Carolina

This is a homecoming of sorts as Rick Ware drove for Performance Motorsports in the mid-eighties at venues such as Riverside International Raceway.
“I’m excited to have Cody join our program and run the season in the S2 for us” said Joe Nava. “I have known Rick and his father John forever and they are like family to me.”

The 13 race season starts on March 16th, 2013 in Madera, Calif. and travels through three states hitting places like the Bullring in Las Vegas, NV, Irwindale Speedway in Calif, Havasu 95 Speedway in Ariz, Lucas I-10 Speedway in Blythe, Calif and the brand new Kern County Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif. It is run as a companion series to the SRL Southwest Tour.

PP1M is a driver development team located in Sothern California adjacent to Irwindale Speedway. The team currently runs cars in the SRL S2 Series, the NASCAR Whelen Late Model Series and the NASCAR Super Late Model Series. It’s roots are from the NASCAR Southwest Tour and the NASCAR K & N Series. The team formerly was a West Coast driver development program for NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Program.

PP1M plans to campaign three NASCAR Whelen Late Models at Irwindale Speedway, a full SRL S2 season, a Super Late Model and selected NASCAR K & N Pro-Series West races in 2013.
