TOP ROOKIE
Congratulations to Brandon Farrington, for scoring the best finish of the four rookies entered in the “Sunrise Ford All-Star Showdown presented by the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame” from Irwindale Speedway. Brandon finished 19th after engine failure ended his night on lap 186 of 200. It was a tough weekend for the rookie class, with mechanical DNF’s for both Kole Raz Racing and Joey Iest Racing. Dean Thompson’s night ended before it even began, with a crash in Qualifying.
As the top finishing rookie, Farrington will enter the Winter Showdown, at Kern County Raceway, as the Rookie-of-the-Year” Championship leader for the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series. Another lucrative rookie package will be announced soon, as last years was valued at over $4,000. The TMI – Tucson Motorsports Inc., Sigma Engineering Solutions, Inc driver is the three-time and defending Super Late Model Champion at Tucson Speedway.
