Update from the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series

Bakersfield, CA – In the unprecedented times we are all currently living through, we at the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series want to let you all know that we are focused and ready for the first opportunity to get back to racing.

Over the 20-year history of our series, the safety and well-being of our teams, staff and fans has always been at the forefront of our decisions.  As we move forward, we will continue with the same methodology.  But make no mistake, we are working to get back to racing, and will accept the challenges that may bring.  We feel a sense of responsibility to those who both invest in and support our sport and our series, and we know the sooner we can all get back to the track, the sooner we will all find comfort in being back close to our normal.

Recently, Irwindale Speedway announced they will remain closed for the month of April (see attached), which means we lose our April 25th event at Irwindale.  We don’t have the luxury of a ‘crystal ball’, but we have hope that the ‘news’ will soon become brighter, and the ability to start making plans for the next event will become clearer.  We are taking this one day at a time, and we will communicate with you the best we can through the process.

Thank you for being part of the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series and the Spears Manufacturing Modified Series.

Best regards,
