  1. TIRES: American Racer AR153 – Each Super Late Model team will be limited to a maximum of four sets of (new) sticker tires for the weekend (Thursday – Sunday). (2 practice sets and 2 race sets)

Each Pro Late Model team will be limited to a maximum of three sets of (new) sticker tires for the weekend (Thursday – Sunday). (2 practice sets and 1 race set)

No (new) sticker tires allowed to be brought into the track – trailers will be checked for any new tires onboard. Scuffs may also be inspected and removed by officials if deemed necessary.

Tire pick order is based on the order race entries were received.

  1. FUEL: SUNOCO 110 is the spec fuel for the event and must be pure Sunoco. Minimum purchase required; Super Late Model is 20 gallons and Pro Late Model is 10 gallons.

 

  1. PRE-TECH: All cars at the track on Friday will undergo inspection by assigned appointments beginning at 10am. Maximum four crew members, plus the driver with the car in tech inspection. Please stay back away from the car during inspection to allow officials room to conduct inspection. This is a convenience for the teams. Please be on time or the system does not work and a penalty may be issued.

 

  1. SPOTTERS: Spotters must be utilized at all times when your car is on track. The spotter must monitor race control with a scanner or stand-alone radio at 2000. Spotter’s location for the race will be in designated area marked off in the grandstands.

 

  1. REQUIRED DECALS: The SRL National windshield and contingency decals are mandatory. The ten (10) decals will be handed out at the track on Thursday and Friday. Windshield decal to be in place prior to car going on track Saturday.

 

  1. PRIZE MONEY / W9 FORMS: All teams are required to fill out a South Alabama Speedway 2023 Season Registration From and a W-9 for SRL, both must be turned in before qualifying tech.

 

  1. RULES & RACE FORMAT: Mufflers will not be required at this event.
  • Qualifying order will be reverse order of entries.
  • Pole for the Rattler 250 will pay $1,000.00.
  • Rattler – 250 Green Flag Laps, 8 Tire Race with a 10-minute halfway break.
  • Baby Rattler – 125 Green Flag Laps, 4 Tire Race

  1. COVERAGE: The race weekend will be livestreamed on Racing America.

 

 

 

 

  1. DUPLICATE CAR NUMBERS – Cars running the same number is allowed, but each car running a duplicate number will be required to display a minimum four-inch first letter of the drivers last name low and behind the car number on each side. This will be required before you pass tech inspection.

 

  1. QUALIFYING TECH – ON THE GROUND: Once pre-qualifying tech opens for Super Late Models, all Super Late Models are to be on the ground ready to roll to tech at that time – hood on, no wiping down, cars on the ground – ready to roll.Remain in your pit until an Official comes and directs you to the Tech Line. If you have a mechanical issue let Ricky Brooks know in advance of Tech opening.

 

  1. HALF-TIME BREAK – At or near half-way, teams will have 10-minutes to change four tires, make adjustments, and fuel the car. Team must have a manned fire extinguisher while fueling the car.  Maximum 5 crew members to service the car, with one (1) jack and two (2) air guns. Crews cannot go to their car until all cars are stopped and the horn is blown to begin service. Again – Crews cannot go to their car until all cars are stopped and the horn is blown to begin service. Pit Box order is based on Qualifying Results.
